First look lenses 2 (quick comparo for distortion)

Further to my first quick look at the EXO lens. I’ve managed to get my broken Moment lens working and have shot a couple of shots with it, Exo and the mCam. This video is not about exposure (that’s coming from Dubrovnik where the light and colours are cool as) it’s just a quick look at distortion – the parallax shift, the difference between the view of an object as seen through the picture-taking lens of a camera and the view as seen through the viewfinder.  Most wide lenses have some degree of distortion. There are a number of forms: distortion (bowing in and out “fisheye” effect), vertical (parallax error), horizontal (perspective tilted left or right). Do you know Lightroom has a set of tools to help fix the various forms of lens distortion? Which of these wide lenses  has least and which do you like best? Check out this simple video.

One of the things I noticed with Moment Lens, it’s not as wide as the EXO and mCAM. This could be why the edges on the Moment lenses are more straighter and not as distorted. You should also do a comparison with the Inmacus wide-angle lens. It’s distorted but you get better edge to edge sharpness. Which in my opinion is important to me. You can also fix your photos with SKRWT, if you’re shooting stills. That’s my humble opinion…
